Hendrickson heading back to US for treatment

OBERSDORF, Germany — World Champion Sarah  Hendrickson suffered an injury to her right knee during a training jump  today (Wednesday) in Obersdorf, Germany.

According to Kyle Wilkens, Medical  Director for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, she received  medical attention in Obersdorf and will fly back  to the U.S. with her team members on Friday to undergo further medical evaluation in Utah.

"Sarah is one of the strongest competitors and athletes on the ski jumping World Cup. We are confident in the world class medical care she will receive and will await her prognosis," said Robbie Beck, Executive Director of Women's Ski Jumping USA.
